Tele-Mental Health Therapy

TeleMental Health Services opens up new possibilities for you. We can now "see" you in the comfort of your own home or office, or wherever else you choose. All you need is a good, secure internet connection and webcam integration. This is available to us through face-to-face video conferencing that is fully HIPAA compliant and we are able to deliver these services to those living in Florida or Kentucky.

You might ask, is this type of delivery of health services effective? In answer to this question, the TeleMedicine Journal conducted a review and found that "Telemental health is effective for diagnosis and assessment across many populations (adult, child, geriatric, and ethnic) and for disorders in many settings (emergency, home health) and appears to be comparable to in-person care" (Hilty, et. al., 2013).

Dr. Martin Wesley has been certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors, as a Board Certified Telemental Health provider (BC-TMH). He obtained this credential when it became available four years ago. Prior to that, he had obtained the NBCC's Distance Counseling Credential (DCC) fourteen years ago and has been offering telemental health to individuals and offering workshops to other counselors for several years on the subject. In fact, even before there was a "credential" for telemental health, Dr. Wesley was groundbreaking in offering distance counseling through email and telephone in the late 1990s.

If you are experiencing bouts of depression or anxiety; would like help in dealing with a loss of some kind; have experienced trauma or addiction issues; or myriad other issues, you can now see one of the most highly respected therapists while remaining in the comfort and convenience of your own home.
